Chalmette High School’s Interact Club sponsored a blood drive with The Blood Center on Leap Day, February 29. Students and faculty were asked to “leap in to save lives” and 77 answered the call. Since every donation can help three patients, this blood drive saved up to 231 lives! In appreciation for their lifesaving gift, donors received a Blood Center “I Bleed Black and Gold” t-shirt. The blood collected during at the drive will help local patients.
